Synopsis THE POINT MEN (2023)

Based on the true story of the Korean hostage crisis in Afghanistan. A group of South Korean tourists are being held hostage by a Taliban militant group in Afghanistan. The South Korean government sends Jae-ho, known as one of South Korea's most experienced diplomats, to handle the situation. Upon arrival, he enlisted the cooperation of the Afghan government and used all possible means to free the hostages. However, his efforts were in vain. His failures forced him to work with Deshik, a special agent specializing in the Middle East. The first hostage deaths occurred as they headed for the Taliban. With nowhere else to hide, the two form an alliance in a race against time to rescue other hostages.
